If you can't find a journal article online or in print at the UGA libraries or can't find a book in UGA's GIL Catalog, you can place an interlibrary loan (ILL) request.

Log into interlibrary loan here using your MyID credentials.

The first time you use this system, you will be asked for some basic information such as your address and department. Fill out this form and continue. If the fields are greyed out and you cannot fill in the form, contact ILL at borrow@uga.edu or 706-542-0643. They are open Monday-Friday between 8am - 5pm and can fix the problem quickly

Choose your request type (Book, Article, Book Chapter, or other.)

Enter the citation information that you have on the request page. You do not have to fill in every box, but make sure there's enough information for the interlibrary loan staff to find your item.

Please note that entire journals volumes are rarely lent; we obtain copies of articles instead. We also do not borrow textbooks for classes, obtain copies of chapters from textbooks, or borrow video materials. We generally cannot obtain genealogical research material.

That's it! We will notify you when the item is in.
