Q. Can I have a book sent from one library at UGA to another?

UGA students, faculty, and staff may request books held at one campus library to be delivered to most other campus libraries. To place a pickup request log into our online catalog, search for the book, and click "Request a pickup." Choose your pickup location and click on the request button. Participating libraries on the Athens campus include the Main Library, McBay Science Library, Curriculum Materials Library (Aderhold), Music Library, Dodd Art Library, Carnegie Library (Health Sciences Campus). Deliveries are also made to the Gwinnett, Griffin, and Tifton campus libraries.

Please note: The delivery service may take 24 to 48 hours and is only available during weekdays. You will be notified by email when the book is available at the pickup location. Placing a request for a book delivery does not ensure that the book will not be checked out to another patron before the book is retrieved for delivery. If you need the book immediately, it's best to retrieve it yourself. Visit the reference desk for assistance finding books.
