If you can't find a journal article online or in print at the UGA libraries or can't find a book in UGA's GIL Catalog or the University System of Georgia's Gil-Find Universal catalog, you can place an interlibrary loan request.
Log into interlibrary loan here with your full 16 digit ID number, found under the barcode on the back of your UGACard. (If you do not have a UGACard, please contact Access Services at 706-542-3256 to obtain your ID number.)
The first time you use this system, you will be asked for some basic information such as your address and department. Fill out this form and continue.
Choose your request type. You have two request type options:
- Loan request
- for books, theses, dissertations, microform, videos, DVDs, CDs, and other whole works.
- Article request
- for journal articles, newpaper/magazine articles, book chapters, and other parts of a whole work.
Enter the citation information that you have on the request page. You do not have to fill in every box, but make sure there's enough information for the interlibrary loan staff to find your item.
That's it! We will notify you when the item is in.
